Financial Reporting Analyst

Summary:
This role will be responsible for the bank’s Financial Reporting function, which includes the bank’s Call Report and other mandatory regulatory reports, as well as internal financial reporting for management and shareholders. Must maintain awareness of all current and proposed legislation/regulatory rules and their potential impact to the Bank’s reporting processes. Is responsible for the creation and maintenance of the necessary financial control infrastructure. This position will work with the Finance team to focus on creating standardized and automated processes for all reports and other departmental deliverables.   

 

Essential Job Functions:

  • Prepare and manage all activities related to State and Federal regulatory reporting for the Bank and Holding Company (including Call Report, FR reports, etc).
  • Prepare and manage all activities related to internal reporting for Executive Financial Reporting, including monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements.
  • Create and manage ALLL and CECL accounting requirements.
  • Ensure accuracy and timeliness of all required reporting.
  • Leverage the Bank’s existing finance technology to materially automate the production of reports and corresponding work papers.
  • Review (and remediate gaps, as necessary) the control infrastructure associated with the financial environment. Support the CFO in FDICIA control management.
  • Collaborate with the CFO and Controller to promote and strengthen bank financial performance.
  • Review and provide reconciliation and journal entry support to the Controller. 

 
Required Experience & Skills:

  • Must have 3+ years’ experience in Accounting and Finance Function within banking industry.
  • Must have solid organizational skills, with the ability to handle multiple competing priorities in a multi-tasking environment and meet deadlines with quality results.
  • Strong working knowledge of Bank Regulatory Reporting Requirements.
  • Strong desire for better and easier processes with an obsessive pursuit of automation of redundant work activities and elimination of process bottle-necks.
  • CPA not required, but a plus.
  • Not required, but preferred: Experience with Jack Henry Silverlake & Cognos Analytics.
