Mortgage Loan Coordinator

POSITION SUMMARY 
The position of Residential Mortgage Loan Coordinator is responsible for performing routine processing duties related to residential real estate loans in compliance with Bank3 lending policies and procedures, investor guidelines, and related laws and regulations. Support the loan application process; serve as liaison between the mortgage lending Department and loan applicants; collect and verify supporting loan documentation; ensure loan approval conditions are satisfied in a timely manner to meet closing and other deadlines.  Responsible for loan file construction according to department standards; accurate and timely data entry of loan information, working with the loan origination team and underwriting to ensure loans progress towards a successful closing. Provide information on loan types to customers and fellow employees. Will also perform functions in loan support to include document origination and loan servicing.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Assuring customer service is top priority whether internally or externally, treating customers and employees professionally, with courtesy and respect.
  • Knowledgeable of all loan products including secondary market and Bank3 as well as the associated underwriting guidelines for Bank3 and investors.
  • Responsible for sending out required verifications for file, communicates with credit bureaus for required updates or corrections to the credit bureau, orders appraisal and inspections.
  • Effectively communicate loan status and outstanding requirements with Loan Officer/Originator, Customer, and/or Supervisor.
  • Prepare loans for submission when all required exhibits are received.
  • Follow up on loans submitted for underwriting, being underwritten and/or pending loans Upon approval of the loan, notify the borrower(s) of outstanding conditions as well as appropriate personnel. Upload documentation for approved loans and submit for review.
  • Following-up with customers regarding loan status, outstanding documentation, and pending approval conditions.
  • Ordering revision loan documents, appraisals, and environmental documents as determined. 
  • Ordering updated financial statements, corporate tax returns, and/or personal tax returns from customers as needed.
  • Update data on computer system as soon as documents are received.
  • Comply with all regulatory federal and state laws and regulations, bank’s loan compliance regulations, as well as internal policies and procedures of Bank3.
  • Actively selling and promoting the Company’s full line of services and products.
  • Performing other duties as assigned

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES)

  • Quick learner with ability to adapt to different situations 
  • Demonstrated ability to use various interpersonal skills and communication methods.
  • Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously, managing time and resources to ensure work is completed efficiently and within established timeframes.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks under tight time constraints. 
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Able to function as a team player.
