Senior Accountant / Assistant Controller
Volunteer State Bank (www.volstatebank.com) is currently hiring for a Senior Accountant / Assistant Controller to join their growing team. This position reports directly to the Controller.
Responsibilities include:
- Assist Controller with monthly financial reporting (ALCO & Board)
- Prepare quarterly and semi-annual regulatory reports
- Prepare monthly reconciliations
- Perform accounting transactions and other duties, as assigned
- Assist in supervision of accounting staff
- Assist with external and internal auditor requests
- This position may work in the Portland or Nashville locations and may qualify for a hybrid work arrangement.
Strong knowledge of GAAP required and must be proficient with Microsoft Excel. Degree in accounting required and a minimum of 3-5 years of comparable financial institution and/or public accounting experience in the financial institution industry strongly preferred. Salary commensurate with experience.
