The Commercial Real Estate(CRE) Financial Analyst supports Pathway Lending’s goals, values, and philosophy by exhibiting the following behaviors: excellence, quality service, commitment, and accountability.
POSITION SUMMARY:
Working under the policy direction of Pathway Lending and under the general supervision of the SVP Sustainability Programs this position provides support in administrative areas. The CRE Financial Analyst will assist with analyzing, forecasting, and evaluating commercial loan requests with particular focus on solar, renewable energy, energy efficiency, and sustainability as well as other loans that align with Pathway Lending’s mission.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provides loan origination support through financial analysis and due diligence on potential borrowers generating appropriate credit memorandums to support their recommendation. Assists with structuring and underwriting loans for projects focused on energy efficiency, expansion of solar and renewable energy sources.
- Prepares loan proposals and presentations for loan committees and investors on energy related and commercial real estate loans including cash flow projections, collateral evaluations, and potential impact of the loans.
- Analyzes the financial performance of commercial real estate investments and prepares and presents investment memoranda and financial reports to senior management.
- Assesses energy efficiency and sustainability initiatives internally and externally to develop viable real estate investment strategies. Collaborates with solar and other energy sustainability related consultants, architects, engineers, and related product vendors to analyze energy efficiency improvements and their ROI for Pathway Lending.
- Monitors compliance with compliance with Clean Commercial Investment Act (CCIA) and Greenhouse Gas Reduction (GHGR) programs across the commercial real estate portfolio, including the documentation and reporting required under those programs.
- Works with the SVP Sustainability Programs to develop and present relevant information and data both internally and externally.
- Works with the SVP Sustainability Programs to develop strategies to increase sustainable energy lending, establish expected annual loan production goals, and establish metrics to measure the overall success of the sustainable program.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Strong analytical skills with ability to interpret and communicate complex financial data with proficiency with financial analysis software and tools. Attention to detail and accuracy, excellent written, communication and interpersonal skills, ability to interact with all levels of the organization, Ability to work independently and provide excellent customer service with clients, partners, stakeholders, and team members Strong Microsoft Office skills including Adobe, and ability to navigate multiple computer systems, applications, and utilize search tools. ability to meet or exceed business goals and objectives, while fostering a team atmosphere. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Real Estate, Economics, Energy Sustainability, or related field. A Master’s degree or MBA is preferred. Knowledge of energy efficiency, solar and renewable energy finance as well as managing or implementing federal programs related to energy sustainability and resilience is highly desirable. 2 to 5 years of experience in commercial real estate financial analysis with focus on energy and sustainability. Ability to perform in a fast paced, high demand environment with minimal oversight while balancing multiple priorities.
