Senior Commercial Lending Officer
The Senior Commercial Lender plays a key role in driving loan growth and strengthening the bank’s presence in the communities it serves.  This position focuses on building long term relationships with small to mid-sized businesses.  These relationships focus on customized lending solutions and will expand into delivery of a menu of bank deposit and loan services.  The Senior Lender will be involved in community activities, acting as the bank’s presence in community and civic affairs.  The Senior Lender must balance loan growth, credit quality and personalized service in their business development efforts.  The Senior Lender will help to define new product needs or existing product refinements.  They will also serve as a corporate leader and mentor to junior officers and other staff in the Commercial Lending group.

Key Competencies:  Relationship banking and community engagement, Local market knowledge (middle and east Tennessee), Credit judgement and risk awareness, Personalized customer service, Business development through networking, and Collaboration and mentorship
  • Qualifications
    • Bachelor’s degree in finance, business, or related field
    • 7-10+ years of commercial lending experience, preferably within a community or regional bank.
    • Strong understanding of local market dynamics and small to mid-sized business needs.
    • Demonstrated ability to develop business through relationships and referrals.
    • Well-developed credit skills with experience in CRE and C&I lending.
    • Excellent interpersonal skills with high touch, service-oriented mindset.
  • Work Environment
    • Office based with significant time spent in the community meeting clients and prospects.  This is not a remote position.
    • This position will work within the bank’s total market – Middle Tennessee and the Chattanooga commercial market.
    • Emphasis on business development and mentoring/counseling other lenders.
