When communicating in writing you must edit work for spelling and grammar while varying writing style to meet different needs. One of the strongest skills necessary in a Deposit Operations role is critical thinking and problem solving. You must be able to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner. You must gather and analyze information skillfully in order to develop alternative solutions. One must also work well in group problem-solving situations as well as independently while maintaining a positive attitude and good working relationships.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Resolve unposted transactions
  • Process chargebacks, return items, and incoming returned items.
  • Ensures compliance with ACH and deposit rules and regulations.
  • Processes reclamations and adjustments ensuring proper research and response.
  • Determine and enter appropriate account and general ledger entries.
  • Handle telephone requests requiring superior operations knowledge.
  • Process and review new deposit account documents including IRA/HSA accounts.
  • Utilize programs and reports to ensure proper posting of items.
  • Process research requests such as image, statement, and transaction posting research.
  • Process system maintenance as requested/needed.
  • Perform review of previously processed system maintenance.
  • Process requests of verification of deposits.
  • Maintain a working knowledge of compliance requirements affecting your position and area of responsibilities.
  • Model and foster behaviors that support the Bank’s values and culture.
  • Any other duties as deemed necessary by Management

Qualifications required:

  • High School Diploma/Equivalent or greater
  • Minimum of two years banking experience, Deposit Operations experience preferred
  • Excellent computer proficiency (MS Office-M365)
  • Jack Henry core experience helpful
  • Ability to organize and prioritize work, re-prioritize when needed
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Ability to identify, escalate, and assist in resolving systemic issues and/or process breakdowns
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
  • Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • Ability to focus on detail
  • Familiar with regulatory rules and regulations
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with high expectations
  • Excellent with follow thru for completion of outstanding tasks
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Regular and reliable attendance
  • Excellent time management skills
