Position Summary:
Responsible for underwriting loan requests, preparing approval summaries, and partnering with Business Developers to obtain and analyze financial information supporting sound credit decisions.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Analyze borrower financial information, including tax returns and financial statements, and prepare cash flow analyses to assess repayment capacity and credit risk.
  2. Review consumer and commercial credit reports, evaluate risk factors, investigate concerns, and communicate findings.
  3. Prepare loan approval requests, financial analyses, and supporting documentation for approval.
  4. Assist Business Developers with delinquent loan collections, workout strategies, and borrower meetings.
  5. Conduct loan portfolio stress testing and prepare reports on emerging risks and economic impacts.
  6. Monitor loan portfolio performance, identify credit risks, and recommend corrective actions.
  7. Maintain financial records and relationship overviews for major borrowing relationships.
  8. Prepare monthly loan production and departmental reports.
  9. Track loan approval conditions, documentation requirements, and outstanding exceptions.
  10. Apply and support compliance with the Bank's Loan Policy, credit standards, and regulatory requirements.
  11. Monitor financial performance of large borrowers and identify adverse trends or covenant violations.
  12. Track loan covenant compliance and reporting requirements.
  13. Prepare annual relationship review memorandums for significant borrowing relationships.
  14. Maintain standing commitment and unfunded obligation tracking.
  15. Monitor delinquency trends, risk grades, watch lists, and classified assets.
  16. Assist with management and liquidation of OREO and other bank-owned assets.
  17. Review construction inspections, draw requests, budgets, and funding approvals.
  18. Manage bankruptcy-related loan portfolios, court deadlines, and workout strategies.

Education, Experience, and Certification Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Prior banking experience preferred.
  • Experience with Fiserv Navigator preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  • Understanding of tax documents preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and receptive to direction.
  • Strong analytical, mathematical, and problem-solving abilities.
