Community Development Manager - West Tennessee
  1. Develops and implements strategies to generate new loan and educational opportunities prioritizing Pathway Lending’s CDFI markets that align with Pathway’s small business lending, affordable multi-family, Sustainability Programs , and community development objectives.
  2. Identifies,develops,andmaintainsstrategicrelationshipswithcommunityorganizations,governmentagencies,financial institutions, and businesses throughout designated region.
  3. Attends community events, conferences, and other public forums to promote Pathway’s loan products and educational servicesandidentifycommunityneedsforprogramsandservicesthatPathwaycanoffer,includingthePathwayWomen’s Business Center and Veteran Business Outreach Center.
  4. DesignsandimplementsacomprehensivecommunitydevelopmentplanalignedwithPathway’smissionandvalues.The plan would cover community development initiatives encompassing capacity building, training, filling capital gaps with Pathway Lending product solutions for small business, commercial real estate, affordable housing and sustainability lending.
  5. Leads, organizes ,and facilitates Pathway programs(PathwayConnect, Nashville Affordable Housing and Community Development Forum) both at Pathway Lending and other locations.
  6. Qualifiesloanandeducationclientprospectsandtakestheleadinthedevelopmentofnewbusinessopportunitiesfrom those prospects and existing customer base.
  7. Providesone-on-onetechnicalassistancetoclientsbothpre-loanandpost-loan.
  8. Contributestothedevelopmentofmarketingmaterialsandsalestoolstosupportcommunitydevelopmentoutreachin designated region including supporting small business, affordable housing and sustainability lending in the region.
  9. TheDirectorwillhavealoanoriginationgoalbasedonexperienceandeducationimpactgoalstobesetannually.
  10. Other duties as assigned.
 

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed are representative of the knowledge, skills and/or abilities required. Strong organization and communication skills, sales and negotiation skills with the ability to find and close deals effectively. Strong relationship-building and interpersonal skills, with a focus on customer service. Knowledge of affordable housing and sustainability. Attention to detail and accuracy, excellent written, and communication skills. Ability to work independently and provide excellent customer service with clients, partners, stakeholders, and team members Strong Microsoft Office skills including Adobe, and ability to navigate multiple computer systems, applications, and utilize search tools.

Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, Public Administration, or a related field. An MBA or other advanced degree is a plus. Experience working at a financial institution or CDFI in a role covering community development, financial services with experience in leadership roles.
