  • September 15, 2021: Vaccination Mandates
    We discuss President Biden’s proposed vaccination mandate for private companies. Mary Leigh Pirtle, a member at Bass Berry and Sims and part of their Covid Task Force joined the call. 
  • March 16, 2021: Recent Overdraft Lawsuits
    In the past few months, Tennessee banks have been hit with lawsuits regarding their overdraft policies. Kristine Roberts, Chare of the Financial Services Department at Baker Donelson, will be providing an overview on how banks can best protect themselves from these frivolous lawsuits. 
  • March 18, 2021: Becoming a CDFI Bank, PowerPoint Slides
    In the last few months, dozens of Tennessee banks have begun to consider becoming a CDFI bank to take advantage of recent benefits established by Congress. Join Sabrina Conyers, Jeff Gurney and Mark Miller of Nelson Mullins as they discuss the ins and outs of CDFIs.  Their presentation will include benefits for a bank of being a CDFI, the process for a bank to become a CDFI, as well as the advantages a bank may have in partnering with a CDFI. 
  • March 19, 2021: PPP Discussion with ABA’s Dan MartiniShuttered Venue Operators Grant (SVOG) PDF
    Join ABA’s Vice President of Congressional Relations and PPP point person Dan Martini to learn the latest about the state of the PPP program. This will also be an opportunity to ask questions of your peers and Dan as we enter what is expected to be the final weeks of the program.
