Job Description
Title: Marketing Manager
Department: Marketing
Supervises: Marketing Coordinator & Interns
Job Classification: Exempt
Hours: M-F 8:00 – 5:00; Occasional overtime hours as required
Location: Hybrid remote and in-person, 12700 Kingston Pike, Knoxville, TN 37934
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Actively manage and prioritize marketing requests in a high-volume environment
- Coordinate and communicate marketing campaign objectives in an effective and professional manner
- Measure and report on the performance of owned campaigns
- Oversee content and community management for external and internal sites
- Oversee content for print ads, press releases, blogs, and general marketing campaigns
- Manage media partner relationships (newspaper, outdoor, television, radio)
- Provide support for events and community engagement activities
- Organize and maintain content calendars of marketing initiatives
SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND TRAINING:
- Interpersonal skills in dealing with customers and employees
- Understanding of bank/student loan products, policies and regulations
- Analytical thinking and problem solving in a fast-paced environment
- Present marketing objectives and results clearly and effectively
- Exceptional writing skills with critical attention to detail/editing
- Strong understanding of AP style as it relates to press releases and formal writing
- Can prioritize and plan work activities to develop realistic action plans to meet deadlines
- Ability to operate within a heavily regulated space and coordinating within a defined compliance review process
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor’s degree required
- 5+ years of relevant marketing experience
- Excellent interpersonal skills coupled with effective marketing skills
- Project management and proven problem-solving skills
WORKING CONDITIONS:
- Sitting for long periods of time; approximately 8 hours a day with the ability to move around
- Lift 10-20lbs periodically.
