POSITION SUMMARY:
Working under the policy direction of Pathway Lending and under the general supervision of the Marketing Communications Manager this position is part of the Corporate Shared Resources and provides support throughout the organization. This position is responsible for developing and executing communication strategies (internal and external) to enhance the organization’s relationships and enhancing Pathway brand across various communication channels.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Works with the Marketing Communications Manager to develop and execute marketing and communications strategies in coordination with organization-wide goals established by management and marketing trends to share Pathway’s brand, mission, vision, and values both internally and externally.
  2. Creates high-quality content for various platforms, including press releases, monthly newsletters, annual reports, and social media posts with focus on brand and reputation growth.
  3. Assists with the creation of innovative corporate promotional materials (collateral) and other creative elements for Pathway’s capital access and learning programs for print, on-demand print, radio, media interviews, earned media, and paid advertisements that resonates with target audiences and drives engagement.
  4. Assists with the oversight communication platform strategies that are focused on bank stakeholders, public partners, foundations, etc. working in consultation with other internal staff to ensure continuity and consistency in the message and support of the Pathway brand.
  5. Works with Marketing Technology, Business Systems and Pathway’s other technology and systems support staff to ensure strong communication and appropriate collateral that generates the impact and reach for Pathway’s success in serving its target market.
  6. Works with the Marketing Communications Manager to manage media relations, oversees third-party interviews, and provides guidance and advice on promotional/speaking engagements.
  7. Monitors and reports on the effectiveness of communication campaigns and strategies and assists with adjusting strategies to achieve desired outcomes.
  8. Monitors industry trends and makes recommendations for adjustments, when necessary, to Pathway marketing communication strategies and practices.
  9. Collaborates with Pathway team members across the state who actively work and engage with clients in select communities to identify marketing opportunities.
  10. Coordinates with cross-functional teams to conceptualize lending and educational events in line with strategic objectives.
  11. Other duties as assigned.

 

 

 

QUALIFICATIONS:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills and/or abilities required. Ability to provide excellent customer service with internal team members, clients, partners, and stakeholders to ensure a positive impact on our target market. Strong project management and organizational capabilities. Strong Microsoft Office skills including Adobe Creative Suite, and ability to navigate multiple computer systems, applications, and utilize search tools. Sound analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy, excellent written and oral skills to produce clear and compelling marketing content. Strong interpersonal skills, ability to interact with all levels of the organization, and ability to meet or exceed business goals and objectives, while fostering a team atmosphere. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations is preferred. 2+ years of experience in job related activities is preferred with strong understanding of media relations, social media, and digital marketing principles. Must have experience resolving and working through complex customer issues and the ability to perform in a fast paced, high demand environment while balancing multiple priorities.

 

 

OTHER SKILLS:
Ability to communicate in English, remain in a stationary position 75% of workday, move, ability to travel if required, and ability to adapt to a changing work environment. Aligns with Pathway Lending’s mission of providing clients and stakeholders with the highest level of service to facilitate their success and the economic growth of our CDFI market.

Position is in an office setting that involves everyday risks or discomforts requiring normal safety precautions.
